From Germany, ModuleWorks brings advanced expertise in manufacturing software to the DIAMETER Project, supporting the development of smarter and more sustainable process planning for additive manufacturing. ModuleWorks leads the development of DIAMETER's AI-assisted Process Planning Tool — one of the core outputs of the DIAgonal decision-support platform.

ModuleWorks contributes its expertise in process planning and toolpath generation to help define the most suitable hybrid manufacturing route for each application — selecting the optimal combination of pre-processing, additive manufacturing and post-processing steps, while integrating sustainability considerations into the decision-making process.
Within the project, ModuleWorks contributes to multiple technical building blocks: leading the development of the experimental database, helping standardise data acquisition protocols, supporting volumetric simulation work, and contributing to the integration of process planning capabilities into the DIAgonal platform.
Their role in DIAMETER covers three key areas:
- Leadership of the AI-assisted Process Planning Tool — one of the core outputs of the DIAgonal platform
- Development of toolpath planning modules for hybrid AM workflows
- Bridging research innovation and industrial application through digital manufacturing software
