Through ProM Facility, Trentino Sviluppo contributes real process parameters from industrial machines to the DIAMETER platform, supporting simulation, optimisation and validation activities. Their practical focus is on AM-based repair of high-value industrial components — including damaged moulds and valves made of non-conventional materials such as cast iron and super duplex steel.

Today these repairs are largely manual. DIAMETER explores how additive manufacturing can make them repeatable, optimised, and traceable — potentially opening entirely new service niches that did not previously exist.
