From Belgium, ValCUN brings breakthrough innovation in metal additive manufacturing to the DIAMETER Project through its proprietary Molten Metal Deposition (MMD) technology — an innovative technique designed to reduce energy consumption and operational costs while maintaining high production quality.

Within the project, ValCUN represents one of the additive manufacturing technologies under evaluation. By contributing real operational data — including process parameters, energy consumption and emissions — ValCUN supports the development of a comparative framework to assess manufacturing technologies from both environmental and circularity perspectives.

Their role covers three key areas:
